Green Day is supposedly backpedaling on the road next following year on the 30th anniversary of the band’s breakout collection, “Dookie.”
Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong declared the band will leave on a 2024 tour during a close show at Las Vegas’ Fremont Nation Club Thursday night, as per Drifter and Board.
In recordings from the show presented to social media, Armstrong says, “Big declaration: We’re doing a major tour next year from now. It will be Green Day, Crushing Pumpkins, Rancid and the Linda Lindas,” before the band launches into “The Pursuit of happiness Is Killing Me,” the main single off its upcoming album of the similar name.
The single will deliver Tuesday after Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool play out a profoundly expected set at the When We Were Young festival in Las Vegas over the course of the end of the week. “The American Dream Is Killing Me” will be the Grammy-winning underground rock band’s first record starting around 2020.
The 2024 visit follows Green Day’s previous “The Hella mega tour,” which saw the band visiting arenas with Drop Out Kid and Weezer in 2021 and 2022.
Fans who were at the Thursday night show got limited time flyers for the mid year 2024 stadium tour and posted photographs via online .
