Nicolle Wallace of MSNBC welcomes a baby at 51.

Deadline: White House” anchor shared on Tuesday from her home in her show that she and her husband, Michael S. Schmidt, have welcomed their first child. This couple recently welcomed a girl, Isabella Sloan Schmidt, through surrogacy.

Nicole Wallace became a mother for the first time to Liam, the son of her ex-husband Mark Wallace, back in 2012. During her absence, Alicia Menendez is filling in as the anchor.

Menendez, at the top of the segment, welcomed Wallace back and said, “Viewers of the program may have noticed that Nicole has been absent from this chair for the past week.”

Wallace surrendered that specific people didn’t think it was possible that she was considering a posterity when she wasn’t remotely close. She said, “I fathom that numerous people pardoned this reality that Mike and I had a kid.” “I haven’t looked at my phone for seven days, and I’m overwhelmed by the guidelines present there.”

She continued, “Mike, Liam, and I are affected by it.” “Our dogs are still deciding. But we were able to keep it private, of course, because I wasn’t pregnant, but my intention was never to keep it a secret from our dear viewers. I am very happy to share our good news today.”

When Menendez shared her experience of becoming a mother for the second time, Wallace added, “There are pros and cons to becoming a mother again at the age of 51.” “You’re tired. I stayed up all night yesterday and said, ‘Wow, yes, 3:45 in the morning looks like this,'” she said. “I don’t see it much now. But you know, refocusing on that thing is a blessing that has always grounded me, and that is my beautiful family.”

Wallace said, “My child, Liam, is 11 years old, and he was in the clinical center, and he took him in his arms, and in the beginning, as calm as we were, he was much calmer.”

Despite being a teenager, Wallace said Liam has the “skills” to take care of his younger sister. She said, “He has the habit of just babbling and shushing, you know, all the things you do, it doesn’t matter where you are during the birth of a child.”

It’s unclear when Wallace will return to her show, but it seems she remembers her audience, whom she considers as her loved ones. “You know, this show is my rewarding family, and I will never leave it,” Wallace said. I watched your entire program today. You (Menendez) were amazed in that seat. I am extremely lucky and grateful that you are running for hours while it takes me months to travel with ease.”
