4 taken to the hospital after the Ohio Walmart shooting.

The police said that on Monday night, a person entered Walmart in Beaver Creek, Ohio, and started shooting, injuring four people who were then taken to the hospital.

Officials stated that the incident occurred around 8:35 pm. Beaver Creek is located in Greene County, Ohio, not far from Dayton.

Beaver Creek police reported that the assailant died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

On Monday night, various agencies, including the Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms Bureau, Ohio Criminal Investigation Bureau, FBI, and other local agencies, were present at the scene assisting Beaver Creek police in the investigation.

Authorities released a statement saying, Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families affected by this horrific tragedy.

The police mentioned that they do not have additional information about the condition of the individuals taken to the hospital.

Walmart also issued a statement to ABC News, expressing that their employees are “heartbroken.” The company’s statement said, “We are saddened by what happened at our Beaver Creek, Ohio store. This is a developing situation, and we are working with investigators at the scene.”

The police stated that they plan to share an update on Tuesday. No further immediate details were available.
